Tenderness and hope amidst the world’s elephant poaching crisis.   Ivory-hungry poachers shoot 60 elephants a day in Tanzania alone.  2012 lost about 20% of the Tanzanian elephant population, and in 2013 and 2014 at least 30 elephants are poached every day. The poaching is so rampant that if not severely curbed immediately, Tanzania could lose it’s elephant populations in less than 6 years.  Read more here and in so many places all over the internet: http://www.pbs.org/program/battle-elephants/
